Medal Moment
3X3 Basketball: Germany win women’s gold
Over at La Concorde, we’ve had the medal finals in the women’s 3X3 tournament.
Despite a rough 0-3 start to the tournament, the USA women have come away with bronze, beating Canada 16-13 in the third-place game.
And, despite Pau Gasol cheering them on, Spain could not hold off Germany in the gold-medal game, Germany winning 17-16 with the points spread around for all four of their players.
Gasol’s fellow retired NBA superstar Dirk Nowitzki, also in attendance, hugs the winners.
