Wrestling: USA’s Sarah Hildebrand wins women’s 50kg freestyle gold
After the shock disqualification of Vinesh Phogat earlier today for missing weight, USA’s Sarah Hildebrand had to readjust her plans, for she would now be facing Cuba’s Yusneylis Guzman in the final.
No matter: Hildebrand has recorded a 3-0 points victory over her new opponent to take gold for USA!
Bronzes went to Feng Ziqi (CHN) and Japan’s Susaki Yui, who had been unbeaten in international competition until losing to Vinesh earlier in the competition. Susaki won her bronze-medal bout by technical superiority.
