Artistic swimming: People’s Republic of China win duet gold
Believe it or not, there were four sets of twins in the artistic swimming duet event (one of them part of a set of triplets).
And it’s the Chinese twins Wang Liuyi and Wang Qianyi who have taken gold. Their free routine wasn’t the cleanest, but their big lead from the technical routine was enough to give them a total of 566.4783 points.
Great Britain‘s Kate Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe took silver on 558.5367, while another set of twins, the Dutch sisters Bregje and Noortje de Brouwer, won bronze on 558.3963.
