BMX freestyle: Jose Torres Gil (ARG) wins men’s park final gold!

Torres Gil’s (ARG) exceptional first run is enough to win gold!

In winning the event, the 29-year-old has created a lot of history: it’s the first individual medal in the sport of cycling for Argentina, the first medal of Paris 2024 for Argentina, the first gold in any sport since Rio 2016, and the first gold medal for an athlete representing a nation from South America at Paris 2024!

Needless to say – what an achivement!

World champion Kieran Reilly (GBR) put everything into his second run, but he just misses out on the top spot. Anthony Jeanjean (FRA) takes bronze for France, their first Olympic medal in BMX freestyle.

🥇Jose Torres Gil (ARG): 94.82
🥈Kieran Reilly (GBR): 93.91
🥉Anthony Jeanjean (FRA): 93.76
