Surfing: Australia’s Tyler Wright wins Heat #2 of Round 3
Finding the first proper tube rides of the day, Tyler Wright of Australia has secured her place in the quarter finals with a win in her Round 3 heat.
Anat Lelior of Israel was eliminated despite surfing a strong heat. The goofy foot was in it until the end thanks to her strong frontside snaps in the pocket. She finished with a combined wave score of 7.74 to Wright’s(AUS) 11.10.
The Australian will face Caroline Marks (USA) in the quarter finals.
