Rowing: New Zealand win women’s double sculls gold!

Brooke Francis and Lucy Spoors (NZL) thunder into the lead in the last 1000m and win gold in 6:50.45!

It’s New Zealand’s first gold medal of Paris 2024 and second total following Hayden Wilde’s silver in the men’s triathlon yesterday.

Silver goes to the Romanian boat of Ancuta Bodnar and Simona Radis, while Great Britain win the bronze thanks to the efforts of Rebecca Wilde and Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne. Defending champions Netherlands finish fourth.
