Track cycling: Netherlands smash world record again to win men’s team sprint gold

Wow. There are no words.

As if taking three-hundredths off the men’s team sprint world record in the first round earlier wasn’t enough, the Netherlands have just obliterated their own mark by nearly a quarter of a second.

They cross the line in a barely believable 40.949 seconds, the first team to go under 41 seconds, to win gold against Great Britain.

Australia won bronze by beating hosts France.
