Track cycling: Women’s team sprint WR falls further
Earlier in qualifying, Great Britain set a new world record in the women’s team sprint event at the St-Quentin-en-Yvelines Velodrome.
That mark of 45.472 has just fallen another three times, first to Germany, then New Zealand, and then Great Britain again.
It now stands at 45.338 seconds.
After the first round, the medal finals are set: New Zealand will face Great Britain in the sprint for gold, while Germany face Netherlands for bronze.
