Weightlifting: Karlos Nasar breaks men’s 89kg world record en route to gold
Gold in the men’s 89kg weightlifting has gone to Bulgaria’s Karlos Nasar.
Nasar lifted 180kg in the snatch and a world record clean and jerk of 224kg for a total of 404kg, also a new world record.
Yeison López of Colombia took silver on 390kg and Antonino Pizzolato of Italy bronze on 384kg.
