Wrestling: Golds for Jamalov, Petriashvili, Motoki

A whole bunch of wrestling medals to catch you up on from today, in the men’s freestyle 74kgmen’s frestyle 125kg, and women’s freestyle 62kg events.

In the first category, Uzbekistan’s Razambek Jamalov scored a victory by fall against Japan’s Takatani Daichi to win gold. Bronzes went to USA’s Kyle Dake and Albania’s Chermen Valiev, the latter his country’s first Olympic medal.

The 125kg gold went to Geno Petriashvili of Georgia, who won a narrow 10-9 points victory over Islamic Republic of Iran’s Amir Hossein Zare. Bronzes were awarded to Taha Akgul (TUR) and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (AZE).

And finally, in the women’s 62kg, Japan’s Motoki Sakura just won gold by technical superiority over Ukraine’s Iryna Koliadenko. Bronze medals went to Aisuluu Tynybekova (KGZ) and Grace Bullen (NOR).
